Dynamic Pelvic

Dynamic Pelvic MRI utilizes static and dynamic imaging of the pelvis to assess for functional and anatomic causes of pelvic floor dysfunction. The superior soft-tissue contrast of MRI allows for a detailed evaluation of the musculature, organs, and fascia of the pelvic floor while avoiding ionizing radiation. Cine-clips allow for real-time, dynamic imaging during defecation, often revealing unsuspected or confounding causes of dysfunction.

Dynamic Pelvic MRI visualizes the anterior (bladder), middle (uterus, cervix, and vagina OR prostate) and posterior (rectum) compartments of the pelvis. Dynamic Pelvic MRI is useful for the assessment of: Constipation Prolapse Fecal and urinary incontinence Pelvic pain Dynamic Pelvic MRI is more sensitive than a physical exam and is the Gold Standard in diagnosing pelvic floor disorders. We perform our studies in a private room, with the utmost attention to patient comfort and modesty.
