We offer the only radiology site in the state that performs Fetal MRI. Fetal MRI is often used in conjunction with ultrasound to further evaluate abnormalities detected during routine OB scans. Fetal MRI is especially useful for the identification and characterization of fetal neurological abnormalities but can be used for a variety of chest, abdomen, pelvic and placental issues. The results of the study can be invaluable for pregnancy and delivery planning.We now have a Neuroradiology specialist, Dr. Gerald York to interpret these studies. Fetal MRI is performed without IV contrast and avoids ionizing radiation.
