Darren Shirley, MD

Board-Certified Radiologist with Body Imaging Fellowship Joins Imaging Associates


Dr. Darren Shirley graduated from the University of Kentucky College of Medicine in 2000. He completed his internship in Internal Medicine and his Diagnostic Radiology residency training, serving as a chief resident, at the Wilford Hall Medical Center in San Antonio, TX. In 2011, Dr. Shirley received a Body Imaging fellowship at the University of Utah School of Medicine while also serving at the university as an Adjunct Professor of Radiology. He spent several years in Germany and Afghanistan serving as Chief of Radiology at the Spangdahlem Air Force Base and Craig Joint Theater Hospital, respectively. From July 2015 to present, Dr. Shirley has served as Chief of Radiology for the Joint Base Elemendorf Richardson in Anchorage. He is involved in multiple national organizations including the Radiological Society of North America, the American College of Radiology, the Roentgen Ray Society, the Association of University Radiologists, and the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Medical Society.
