  • Imaging Associates is the premier outpatient imaging center in Southcentral Alaska, with offices in both Anchorage and Palmer, and we are excited to offer this exciting new opportunity. We are seeking an APRN for our Breast Care Coordinator (BCC) position. The BCC’s primary function is guiding patient’s through the diagnosis and treatment process, developing relationships with service providers, tracking interventions and outcomes. The BCC, working with our entire breast team, is the tip of the spear reaching out to providers in the community to educate them on how our shared patients can benefit from the program. This is a Monday through Friday position, with occasional weekends and/or evenings to attend events. Time will be split between our office in Anchorage and Palmer, AK.

  • Education/Certifications Required Currently licensed as an APRN by the State of Alaska. Current DEA license Ability to obtain Certification in the National Consortium of Breast Center (NCBC) Breast Patient Navigator Program within 6 months of accumulating the recommended 24 months of experience. Experience/Competencies Experience in breast imaging or equivalent, a proficient knowledge of breast diseases, women’s healthcare, cancer diagnosis and treatment is preferred. Demonstrated abilities in establishing positive relationships with patients, families, hospital and clinical staff. Experience in the development, coordination and performance of educational and/or support programs preferred. Have a background and familiarity with personal computers. Able to act independently. Ability to present to external groups and to promote the services of IA. Job Type: Full-time Salary: DOE
